(More customer reviews)Very good picture quality outdoors and indoors. Flash throws plenty of light. Colors especially outdoors are very natural. Images appear clear and sharp. This camera has a very wide angle lens with 10X optical zoom. Pictures are sharp through entire wide to telephoto zoom range with good edge to edge sharpness. The video quality is good, but you must first frame your subject before you shoot video as there is no optical zoom in video. I was aware of this before the purchase but when I was recently at a music recital it would have been nice to be able to zoom in and out. I think this camera would be considered a compact rather than an ultra compact, but it is still small enough to fit in most pockets.
